I wouldn't let him add VBALink because he might over write the files just by droping into the src and then the bugs be back in the src. Now if he just going to write his stuffs in your files then it ok as long that he won't changes your writting on the games fixes. You could just look on how he done it just by looking in this src and see how he done it. Get permission before you start working into your stuffs and then release it. I really would like to see you both work togather as a team.
